Tailscale’s device posture integration with 1Password Device Trust is designed to ensure that only trusted and compliant devices are accessing the company’s network and resources.

Tailscale’s device posture management allows the admins to define a baseline for devices (e.g. OS version, auto-updates enabled, etc) in the Tailscale network, to be considered secure and trustworthy. When Tailscale’s device posture integration with 1Password Device Trust is configured, Tailscale fetches the authorization status of each device and allows it access to the network based on the configured device posture checks.

The device posture checks get evaluated every time a device initiates a connection, offering continuous verification in a zero-trust environment. If the device fails one or more of the posture checks, the device is not allowed to access the network until the user resolves the issue.
